Setting Inside and outside a barn on a busy farm
Cow: (to himself) Moo! How I wish this fence wasn’t in between me and Sheep.Sheep always has the greenest grass in her paddock. It looks much tastier than the grass over here.
Sheep: (to herself) Look at all the grass in Cow’s paddock! He always has more grass than me. It’s just not fair!
Sheep and Cow: (to themselves) I wonder how I can get some of the grass in that paddock on the other side of the fence?
Cow: I know what I’ll do. I’ll walk over to the fence and talk to Sheep. Hello Sheep, how is it growing?
Sheep: My wool is growing just fine, thanks. How is your milk coming along?
Cow: Moo-st excellent. Nice day for eating grass isn’t it?
Sheep: Looks like you have some tasty grass in your paddock, Cow. What say you give me some?
Cow: Why should I do that? It’s obvious you have the best grass in your paddock. Why don’t you give some of your grass to me?
Sheep: Don’t be so greedy! Anyone can see the best grass is on your side of the fence. I think I may just stick my head through and take some!
Cow: Why you cheeky Sheep! You have a lot of nerve! Don’t you dare steal my grass. How would you like it if I put my head through the fence and ate some of your grass?!
Sheep: Blaaaah! Your grass is tough and horrible.
Cow: Ugh! Your grass is dry and tasteless. I’m going back to my own paddock!
Sheep: And I’m going back to my paddock! Hold on a minute – I can’t get my head out of the fence!
Cow: Neither can I!
Cow and Sheep: Oh no! We’re stuck!
